Everything you need to know about filling in your eyebrows and how to achieve perfect sculpted "Instagram" brows.
Apply before foundation or after?
Before - Gives you more sculpted brow and easier to fix mistakes, helps get brows straight
If you are likely to make mistakes then doing your brows before foundation is a good option. Carving brows out with concealer then bringing the concealer down onto your eyelids means you can use the concealer as a primer for your eyeshadow. If you get any fallout from your eyeshadow you can then wipe it away and go over it with foundation. After - Gives you darker, more prominent brow
Applying foundation to your full face then doing your brows. Foundation will go over your eyebrows however this gives the eyebrow product something to stick to and actually makes the application of brows easier. However, if you make mistakes it can be harder to fix so take your time! If you then want to go back in and carve out brows with concealer make sure you blend it right out as it will now be sitting on top of your foundation.
Pomade or Powder?
Pomade - Creamy like product that goes on smoothly to get a sharp finish
Pomade is the most popular choice. Anastasia Beverly Hills, in my opinion, is the best product to use for brows. It's really pigmented and stays on well.
An alternative is Eylure. It's cheaper but you'll find it won't stay on as long.
Tip!! With the pomade it can dry up so use oils such as argan oil to rehydrate the product and it will last ages.
Powder
Some people just use powder on their brows. It's less pigmented so will give you a lighter more natural brow look.
Powder can also be used however to set brows after using the pomade. This just makes sure if you touch your brows during the day they are less likely to smudge and helps them stay on longer. A good product is the Soap and Glory Brow Archery.
Technique
This Anastasia Brow Brush is a must have! The brush side is really thin so it make your life easier and you can get a precise brow. The other side can be used to blend the front part of your brow to avoid "block brows".
